Reasons to love Mesotherapy

This is a safe, minimally invasive technique to infuse formulations of active ingredients into the skin to promote the natural processes of cellular repair. We'll work with our gold-standard SkinPen device in conjunction with the right serum for your skin concern - which means this treatment is fantastic for rejuvenation, skin elasticity, fine lines, pigmentation, blemishes, scarring and stretch marks.

How Mesotherapy works?

For this treatment, we use microneedling to infuse formulations of active ingredients into the epidermal and dermal layers of the skin, allowing these ingredients to work at maximum effectiveness. While this is a minimally-invasive treatment you will receive collagen induction therapy for a greater boost to the skin as the needling stimulates the skin's natural healing ability for greater collagen and elastin production.

We utilise one of three treatment serums to target a client's main concern which include:

Skinmark Solution; for stretch marks and scarring

Depigmentation Solution; for hyperpigmentation disorders including melasma

Mesopeptide Solution; for clients concerned with dehydration and signs of premature aging.

Upon a consultation your therapist will explain these solutions to you further to make sure your concerns are completely targeted.

Preparing for your treatment

You should avoid retinal or active ingredients for 1 week before your appointment, and avoid wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers or peels for at least 2 weeks before visiting us – this treatment involves small punctures to the surface of the skin, so we need it to be as free from active ingredients as possible to ensure the safest and most-effective results.

If you have acne, we would also recommend combining your microneedling treatment with a skin peel and/or our LED light therapy – talk to one of our therapists about a skin plan that works for you.

If you’re breastfeeding or pregnant, we unfortunately won’t be able to perform this treatment – but talk to our therapists, and they’ll help you arrange a later date when you can join us, as well as suggesting other treatments for you.

Fake tan needs to be avoided for at least 1 week before your appointment. If there is any in the treatment area we will have to arrange a later date to do this.

Certain skin tones will require prep before this treatment - we will discuss this with you during a complimentary consultation.

For two weeks before the appointment avoid having any anti wrinkle injections performed. For dermal fillers, including profhilo you should wait a minimum of 4 weeks after receiveing that treatment before doing microneedling.

After-treatment care

Only use the products provided by your therapist for 48 hours post-treatment. In lieu of cleansing your skin, you may rinse with cool water. Do not put cosmetics of any kind on the treated area for the first 48 hours.

Please avoid direct sun exposure to the treated area/s for up to 48 hours. You may return to sunscreen use 24 hours following the procedure. Continue to minimise sun exposure for 72 hours post-procedure.

For at least two weeks after your treatment you should also avoid laser hair removal or cosmetic injectables to the treated area/s.

For up to 5 days after your treatment, you should avoid skin products with active ingredients or anything exfoliating. A gentle cleanser and moisturiser is fine, though. You should only use the products provided for the first 48 hours post treatment.

Some redness and small pinprick-sized blood spotting is normal after Microneedling.

For the first 72 hours after treatment, please avoid any exercise or excessive perspiration, as excess blood flow and swear can cause discomfort and irritation to compromised skin.
