How Profhilo works
Profhilo is injected just below the the surface of the skin over 2 sessions 4 weeks apart. It is absorbed into the skin, immediately hydrating the skin with a naturally-found hyaluronic acid. The strategic positioning of injections means only 10 injections are needed to treat the full face.
The slow release of hyaluronic acid stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin, improving the skin's texture, firmness and radiance in addition to reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. After your 2 initial treatments, maintenance sessions can be repeated every 3-6 months.

Preparing for your treatment
If possible, avoid wearing make-up to your appointment. But if that’s not possible, don’t worry – we’ll remove it for you before we get started on the treatment.
We recommend avoiding alcohol in the 24 hours before your treatment – it can make it more likely for your skin to bruise after the treatment.
We will start with a consultation with all customers to discuss all medical conditions and ensure suitability for treatment.
After-treatment care
After treatment you may experience some slight redness, swelling, or tenderness in the treated area - this is temporary and will disappear in a few days.
Avoid touching the area for 6 hours after the treatment, after this time the area can be washed with a gentle cleanser and sterile makeup can be applied.
After the treatment until initial redness and swelling have subsided, avoid exposing the area to intense heat and extreme cold. Please also remember to apply SPF50 on the area and stay hydrated.
Please avoid exercise and swimming in order to avoid risk of infection.
We recommend avoiding alcohol for 24 hours before and after the treatment.

Downtime is minimal - you may experience some redness or swelling, but this is temporary and should subside within a few days.
We recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise and avoid intense heat (e.g. saunas, steamy baths) or cold until the redness or swelling is resolved. You should also avoid intense sun or UV light exposure for the first few days after treatment.
