Reasons to love Sculptra
Sculptra works deep beneath the skin to stimulate your body’s own collagen production rather than simply adding volume. This encourages gradual, natural improvements in skin firmness, texture and facial structure without looking overdone.
It’s ideal for anyone noticing:
1. Age-related volume loss
2. Skin laxity and thinning
3. Lines or contour changes with time
4. Desire for natural, long-lasting improvement
How Sculptra works
Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable containing poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible, collagen-stimulating ingredient. This is gently injected into targeted areas where volume has diminished. Over the following weeks, your skin’s fibroblasts are triggered to make new collagen - strengthening the skin’s natural support and gradually restoring shape and resilience.
This process is different from traditional dermal fillers. Rather than giving immediate, surface-level volume, Sculptra works from within your skin’s structure to:
1. Boost your own collagen production
2. Helps to smooth lines and wrinkles naturally
3. Improve skin thickness and elasticity
4. Restore youthful contours subtly over time

Ask us anything about sculptra
Sculptra is an injectable collagen-stimulator made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Rather than simply filling lines, it works deep beneath the skin to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production, gradually restoring volume and improving skin’s structure, firmness and contour over time.
Unlike traditional dermal fillers that add immediate volume, Sculptra encourages your own collagen production. This means results develop subtly over several weeks and tend to look more natural and long-lasting than standard “surface” fillers.
Sculptra is typically used to restore volume in areas affected by age-related volume loss such as the cheeks, temples, jawline and nasolabial (smile) lines. Your injector doctor will advise if Sculptra is suitable for your specific goals.
Results are gradual. Most patients start to notice subtle improvements within 6–12 weeks as collagen builds and skin structure improves. Visible changes continue to develop over months following treatment.
Most treatment plans involve 2–4 sessions spaced several weeks apart. The exact number depends on your goals and how much volume needs restoring.
You may experience mild discomfort during injections. Topical numbing and pain-relief options can be used to maximise comfort.
You may notice some redness, swelling or tenderness at the injection sites - these are typically mild and temporary. Following treatment, you’ll be shown the “5-5-5 rule” - gently massaging the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days - to help the product distribute evenly.
Sculptra isn’t suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals and may not be recommended for certain areas (such as lips or very superficial regions). A consultation with one of our medical doctors is always needed to ensure it’s right for you.
