How Skin Peels work
Our DermaQuest skin peels are professional‑grade chemical exfoliations designed to rejuvenate your complexion from the inside out.
During treatment, a controlled solution is applied to the skin to gently remove dead surface cells, accelerate natural cell renewal and stimulate collagen production. This process improves texture, tone and overall clarity - helping to address concerns such as dehydration, congestion, pigmentation, acne breakouts and signs of aging.
We offer a range of peels from gentle resurfacing to more advanced formulations, each selected based on your individual goals.

No skin prep is required for our Calmer (lactic), Skin Booster (glycolic) and All Rounder (pumpkin) peels. Just can come as you are an enjoy the treatment.
If you have a darker skin tone, you’ll need to do some prep a few weeks before having any of our other skin peels — our therapists will design a personalised treatment plan for you during your complimentary consultation.
If you’re breastfeeding or pregnant, we unfortunately won’t be able to perform this treatment – but talk to our therapists, and they’ll help you arrange a later date when you can join us, as well as suggesting other treatments for you.
If you have any medical conditions or you’ve recently started taking any new medications, please let us know, so we can assess whether this treatment is possible.
2 weeks before your treatment avoid any forms of hair removal, including waxing or laser. For clients with beards, shaving 24 hours before appointments is ideal to maximise effectiveness.
At least 5 days before treatment stop using any active ingredients including retinoids, AHA's, BHA'S. For anything doctor prescribed you may need longer- you should discuss this wih your therapist.
After-treatment care
Avoid sweating, exercising, and hot baths or showers — and do not scrub, pick or rub the treated area(s) — for 24 hours after your treatment.
Avoid direct sun exposure to the treated area for 2 weeks post-treatment and wear SPF protection when outside.
Use a mild cleanser only in the first 24 hours after treatment.
For the Acne-Controller, Restorer, Rescuer and Brightener peels, avoid water and water-based products (including B5) for 12 hours, post-treatment.
Avoid the use of active skincare containing AHA, BHA and Retinol for 7 days post-treatment.
Avoid any makeup for 12 hours, and make sure all brushes and sponges are cleaned before use.
Avoid any hair removal or other skin treatments for at least 2 weeks after treatment.

You may experience a slight tingling sensation when the peel is applied, but that’s all.

In general, our Skin Booster, Calmer and All Rounder peels are our gentlest peels — they don’t require any pre-treatment prep, and they’re a great option if you are new to peels. The Smoother, Revitalisor and Acne-Controller offer a slighter stronger treatment, and our Restorer, Brightener and Rescuer peels are our more intense treatments.
For almost everyone, there’s no downtime after our All Rounder, Calmer, Smoother, Revitalisor and Acne Controller peels, but it’s totally normal to experience some mild flakiness for 1-2 days after our Skin Booster peel, and you may experience 7-10 days of downtime with our Rescuer, Brightener and Restorer peels
For a little extra reassurance, talk to your therapist about the best after-care for your skin.
Everyone is different, but you should start to see results from 3-4 days after treatment. Our therapists can talk to you about expected results for your skin type during your complimentary consultation.
A course of 3–6 peels, spaced about 3–4 weeks apart, is often recommended for lasting results - though your therapist will create a personalised plan during your consultation.
Yes. DermaQuest formulations are suitable for a wide range of skin tones. For deeper or stronger peels, we may recommend personalised pre‑treatment skin conditioning to maximise safety and results.
Some peels require a short pre‑treatment preparation to optimise results and minimise sensitivity. Our expert therapists will advise you on the best approach at your consultation.
Yes - The Calmer (Lactic Acid) is a gentle, soothing formulation specifically designed for sensitive or redness-prone skin.
