Reasons to love our Veins & Capillaries treatment

Painless, non-invasive and with absolutely no downtime, this treatment uses our medical grade laser technology to safely remove unwanted veins and capillaries on your face, neck and body.

It’s so quick and gentle that you’ll be able to leave the clinic and go back to your busy day as soon as the treatment is over.

How our Veins & Capillaries treatment works

Our medical-grade Candela Pro Max laser sends a safe, concentrated beam of light onto your skin. This heats up the vein, causing it to break down.

The damaged vein is then naturally-removed by your body’s immune system – leaving only a clear, smoother area of skin in its place.

Preparing for your treatment

You'll need to visit us for a patch test before we can schedule your full appointment – the test is quick and simple, but it’s important for checking your skin's response to the treatment.

For at least 2 weeks before your treatment, we recommend avoiding sun or UV exposure.

You should also avoid any active ingredients such as AHA's, BHA's, retinal treatments for 48 hours before your appointment.

Any other skin or laser treatments besides Yellow LED will need to be avoided for 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

Unfortunately, this treatment is only effective on lighter skin tones – if you’re not sure if that includes you, our trained therapists can advise you.

You should avoid any exercise for at minimum of 24 hours before treatment.

After-treatment care

For the first 72 hours after treatment, please avoid any exercise or exposure to heat including steam/sauna rooms and hot water directly to the area.

Some people may experience some redness or swelling, but this normally disappears within 2 weeks. To help your skin recover, we recommend a soothing aloe vera gel.

You should also avoid sun or UV exposure to the treated area/s for 2 weeks after your treatment.

Once your treatment is complete, you should avoid exfoliating or using any actives for at least 5 days.

Ask us anything about veins and capillaries

You may experience minimal pain. It’s completely safe, too – our lasers will only target your unwanted veins and will not affect the surrounding areas.

We can have our Veins & Capillaries treatment on your face, neck and body.

Each treatment time can vary depending on the area being treated. Typically treatments are around 10minutes.

Everyone is different but for the best results, we usually recommend 4 treatments, every 4-6 weeks.

You’ll see a visible reduction in veins and capillaries almost immediately, but in some cases, the treatment may shrink rather than remove the vein, and you might also notice new veins appearing in new places. If this happens, we recommend booking a series of sessions to continue the treatment.

We also advise talking with your therapist to design a treatment plan to keep your skin strong and healthy. This will be the best way to prevent new veins from appearing.

No, in most cases there’s zero downtime – however, some people may experience some redness or swelling if a larger area was treated. On very rare cases the capillary may temporarily darken. This will fade in 1-2 weeks.

Spider veins are usually very treatable via laser and can achieve great results. We recommend coming in for a consultation with one of our expert therapists so that they can assess your concerns and design a treatment plan for yourself.
